Denise Harmon, Counselor and Career Development Coordinator

Denise Harmon is a dual licensed LPCC Mental Health Counselor, K-12 Guidance Counselor and an AAMFT credentialed family therapist working in the counseling field for over 34 years.  Denise began her career in New England serving families and their children specializing in trauma therapy.  Since moving to New Mexico in 1994, she has worked with adults and youth on the Laguna reservation, School on Wheels High School, All Faiths Receiving Home and the Gordon Bernell Charter School here in Albuquerque.  In her leisure time, Denise enjoys the beauty of nature, reading, watching old movies, camping in the stunning Southwest canyon country, cooking for family and friends and listening to bluegrass music.  Denise is honored to work daily with our amazing, resilient GBCS students and alongside her inspiring colleagues at Gordon Bernell Charter School.
