Olga Kovarzina

Olga Kovarzina ("K") is an interventionist and a teacher at GBCS' Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) campus, servicing non-school pods on a variety of subjects (whilst often focusing on math). She also conducts the MDC Tutor Training program to transition high school and GED graduates into tutors.

 

K holds a Bachelor's degree from UNM, as well as graduate degrees from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in California and the Graduate Institute in Geneva. Her teaching experience spans across the US, Japan, and Switzerland, including Adult Corrections in New Mexico. 

 

A polyglot and a globe-trotter with a fondness for the Land of Enchantment, she enjoys investing in New Mexican youth.
