Judy Young is a Native New Mexican born in Gallup, New Mexico.She earned her B.A. at West Texas A&M in Math and English Education receiving Outstanding Teacher Award; and her M.A. at Columbia University in Community Program Development and Guidance and Counseling. She did one year of post graduate work at U.N.M as a graduate assistant in Educational Foundations.
Among her many accomplishments, Ms. Young initiated a start-up grant for Cancer Research and Treatment Center; and the Domestic Violence state funded initiative with Officer Phil Chacon that was subsequently modeled around the United States. Judy was an account executive with first and foremost New Mexico promoter, Frank Crosby of Entertainment Corporation of America. She has 22 years of teaching experience with at-risk populations; she developed and initiated a rehabilitation/educational program at South Texas Intermediate Sanction Facility and was presented an award on the floor of the New Mexico House of Representatives for outstanding contributions to the state. 
Ms. Young holds New Mexico Teacher Certification- Level 3 as well as a Chemical Dependency Counselor License and a Family and Marriage Therapy License.
