Amanda Wolff was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico and moved to Albuquerque in the fall of 2001 to attend the University of New Mexico where she obtained her BA. While attending UNM she worked at what was then the Lodestar Astronomy Center at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science as an exhibit interpreter and planetarium presenter. In this position she taught Astronomy and Physics to people of all ages. After graduating from UNM she worked for the New Mexico State Historians Office in Santa Fe where she helped develop the digital history project which eventually became newmexicohistory.org. Shortly after, she returned to Albuquerque to accept a position as Planetarium Manager at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science.  She worked for several years as an educator in the Astronomy Center before coming to Gordon Bernell Charter School. She is currently teaching Science in the women’s unit at MDC.
