The Men’s program has a pod (housing unit) specifically reserved to house GBCS students and seven classroom spaces in the E wing of the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center.  Students here attend classes from 8:00am to 2:30pm, Monday thru Thursday.  Besides offering all of the academic courses needed to meet New Mexico high school graduation requirements, the Men’s Program has developed a reading program and ESL program to meet the needs of our student population.  In addition, the Men’s Program incorporates a counseling component called MRT (Moral Reconation Therapy) taught by Dr. Ron Gallegos, our resident clinical psychologist, which helps students develop self-reflection, honesty and strong decision-making skills.
