Gordon Bernell’s adult education program provides an opportunity for older students to earn their high school equivalency. Join a small but dedicated team in providing one-on-one or small group instruction to students attending either our program inside the Metropolitan Detention Center or at our community campuses.

Several positions are available and the right person could choose either full time or part time depending on their needs. Gordon Bernell pays a competitive salary, prioritizes professional development, and strives to make a difference in the lives of our students.

The ideal candidate will:
- Be able to teach all subjects at all levels and be comfortable adapting instruction to meet the needs and interests of their students
- Be organized enough to track each student on their individual journey to build skills
- Have the desire to engage with students to overcome complex challenges and find success in education
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Experience or willingness to learn how to participate in IET (Integrated Education and Training) with the ability to support students in earning industry recognized credentials preferred
